Silke Noa Kumpf is an activist lawyer, researcher, and mathematician focused on decentralized governance, cryptographic infrastructure, and privacy-preserving technologies. A legal and strategic advisor to blockchain projects since 2014, she served as the first Chief Legal Officer of Gnosis (2018–2022), where she led the legal structuring behind its "DAOfication," including the Safe spin-off, and its merger with xDAI.
In 2022, she co-founded AssangeDAO, which raised 17,000 ETH (roughly $56M) to help fund Julian Assange's freedom.
She serves on the board of the Decentralized Cooperation Foundation and is listed as a contributor to the Coalition of Automated Legal Applications' DAO Model Law, a pioneering legal framework for blockchain-native organizations.
Kumpf is admitted to practice in England & Wales, New York, and Berlin, and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb).
