Danny works on frontier strategy: anticipating the economic consequences of transformative AI and building the capacity to act. A member of Windfall Trust’s founding team, he serves as Director of Product and Partnerships and leads the organization’s advisory practice, with engagements across the United States, Europe, Latin America and Asia. He works with governments, researchers and frontier AI companies to assess how AI could reshape economies and how institutions can prepare. Developing scenarios is one way Windfall helps institutions think through their strategic choices.
Previously, Danny co-founded and led staatslabor, a state capacity consultancy advising public institutions on reform, including Switzerland’s national COVID-19 response task force. He was also part of the founding team at the Centre for Public Impact, BCG’s global public policy foundation, where he served as Program Director and initiated its work on AI in government in 2017. Earlier, he worked as a consultant at the Boston Consulting Group, advising companies on strategy and digital innovation.
He co-convenes the Strategy Group, a private forum bringing together scholars and senior national security decisionmakers, and hosts High Variance, a long-form interview podcast exploring AI, statecraft and frontier strategy. He holds an M.A. in International Policy Studies from Stanford University, where he was a Fulbright Scholar and a Graduate Fellow at the Center on International Conflict and Negotiation.
