Clay Wren is a Senior Researcher at Windfall Trust, where he leads projects analyzing how transformative AI could reshape economies and labor markets, as well as how countries are positioned to navigate that transition. His work focuses on labor-market exposure, economic resilience, institutional preparedness, and the distribution of gains from AI-driven productivity growth.
Before joining Windfall, Clay worked in sustainability & corporate governance in the real estate sector, including roles at CBRE and Verdani Partners. He later shifted his focus toward the economic and policy implications of advanced AI.
Clay is also the creator of DontLoseYourJob.com, a research project exploring how AI may transform different occupations and what makes workers and economies more or less resilient to technological change. Clay is based in New York City. Outside of work, he trains Brazilian jiu-jitsu and writes about technology and economic change on Substack. He holds a BA in Business Administration, Finance and a minor in News/Editorial Journalism from Western Washington University.
